September 25, 2020 – Bestbuy Distributors concluded their virtual Buy & Sell meetings on Thursday, September 24, managing to move a large block of shareholders and vendors over six-days in two weeks, amounting to 1,945 one-on-one sessions in total. Typically, the Buy & Sell takes place over a three day period that includes meetings and social networking events moving from East to West each year.
“The Bestbuy family of shareholders and vendors always look forward to the in-person meetings each Fall. Still, out of necessity, we managed an alternative that works well for the time being,” states Bill Hay, President.
Chairman, Douglas Squires of Colonial Auto Parts and APM Limited, states, “It was a very positive experience for the group, and it’s essential to adapt and maintain business normalcy in these challenging times.”
Terry Howard of BBB Industries declared, “Bestbuy has set the bar with the excellent planning of the one on one meetings during these uncertain times. The 2020 Buy & Sell brought together vendors and Bestbuy shareholders in a virtual atmosphere, which was extremely well executed.”
“Excellent platform and very productive, the video and audio chat was virtually as good as face-to-face,” echoed Doug Curliss of ProMax. “It was also nice to connect with the group again and glad to see everyone is well.”
September 21, 2020 – Bestbuy Distributors Limited hosted week one of their unprecedented virtual Buy & Sell on September 15-17. The popular one-on-one meetings between Bestbuy shareholders and vendors have a deep-rooted history for the group and occur every September.
Replication of Bestbuy’s unique one-on-one meeting format is possible using a customized electronic platform. Every 20-minutes, a new meeting occurs, matching shareholders with vendors in virtual breakout rooms.
The group is heading into week two, and so far, “Many compliments were received, and everyone seems to have embraced this new style of meetings,” states Bill Hay, Bestbuy President.
